ACT!  SING!  DANCE!

Ages 6-8, 9&up

For students who have taken a CFT Introduction class (or an equivalent) and
are ready to apply their skills on stage!!!!

Students practice the fundamentals of theatre while rehearsing for a one act musical.
Class includes instruction in the three areas of music theatre: acting, dance/movement
and voice.

  • Audition skills, character development and movement, improvisation, script study & memorization skills.
  • The study of various styles of dance for the stage while learning how to follow choreography.
  • Students are coached on projection, diction, developing and sustaining healthy vocal technique and
   understanding sheet music.  Opportunity for singing as a soloist as well as with an ensemble.  Finding your
   vocal range and practice singing songs with multiple parts, harmony, and difficult rythms.

Class includes rehearsal for a one act musical to be performed for family & friends!

10 Week Session

Ages 6-8:
Wednesdays 4-5:45pm (First class 2/27/13)
or
Saturdays 12-1:45pm (First class 3/2/13)

Ages 9-13:
Thursdays 4-5:45pm (First class 2/28/13)
or
Saturdays 2-3:45pm (First class 3/2/13)

As the following classes are performance based class and
students will be rehearsing, attendance is very important.
















STORY THEATRE

Instructor:  Lori Solak
Age Groups:  6-10

This class immerses children in the art of theatre bringing a favorite storybook to life.
The basics of theatre are practiced while rehearsing a short play.
Class culminates with a share performance for friends and family!
